This past weekend, 43° Sports had the privilege of participating in Dawg Bowl XV, a remarkable charity hockey tournament unlike any other. From the first puck drop to the final toast, this event was about more than hockey—it was about resilience, support, and the unstoppable power of community.
A Special Thanks to Marty Richardson
We must begin by thanking and congratulating the Dawg Father himself, Marty Richardson. Marty was the heartbeat of Dawg Bowl XV—organizing, leading, skating, hosting, and spreading love and positivity everywhere he went. Whether he was captaining a team, delivering checks to families in need, sharing powerful speeches, or calling color commentary with NHL legends, Marty was the engine behind the $300,000 raised for Dawg Nation. He is a true ambassador for the game and a tireless champion for good. Thank you, Marty, for making the hockey world a better place.
Stories of Strength and Survival
One of the most powerful aspects of the weekend was meeting the survivors. Hearing their stories, sharing moments, and celebrating their strength reminded us all why this tournament exists. These heroes, who have overcome unimaginable challenges, inspired everyone at the rink. We made new friends, laughed, cried, and closed each night with heartfelt toasts that captured the spirit of the event.
The Survivor Game: The Heart of the Weekend
The highlight of Dawg Bowl XV was the Survivor Game. It began with a moving video tribute at center ice, honoring a select group of survivors. The game that followed was electric—a celebration of perseverance, courage, and love. Every pass, save, and cheer was soaked in emotion, lifting the entire arena in a wave of unity and inspiration. It’s a moment we’ll carry with us forever.
Skating with the Dawg Nation Hockey Heals Team
A special highlight for 43° Sports was seeing our founder and CEO, Dan Webb, lace up and hit the ice with the Dawg Nation Hockey Heals team in their final game on Saturday. Dan has recently been skating with the team during their uplifting Wednesday morning sessions at Apex Ice Arena and was deeply honored to be asked to guest play for them during Dawg Bowl XV.
In true charity fashion, the game ended in a perfect 4–4 tie, with both teams playing hard, smiling often, and showing the kind of camaraderie and spirit that defines Dawg Nation.
We are so grateful to the entire Hockey Heals crew for welcoming Dan with open arms and for sharing their strength, positivity, and love of the game with 43° Sports. Being part of this team—on and off the ice—was a moment we’ll never forget.
Giving Back: Dawg Nation Edition 43° Bag
We were humbled to see the response to the custom Dawg Nation x 43° Hockey Bag we donated to the silent auction. After a flurry of bids, the bag sold for more than its retail price—with all proceeds going directly to Dawg Nation. This moment underscored the community’s generosity and commitment to helping others.
Big Moments and Bigger Impact
Another exciting moment came when we met former NHL player and coach Gabe Gauthier of the Southern Utah Hockey Report. Gabe was excited to learn about our technology and is now working with us to bring 43° Bags to Utah to help grow youth hockey and educate players on the dangers of dirty gear. Together, we're on a mission to make hockey safer, healthier, and stink-free.

Team43 Keeps Growing
Throughout the weekend, we connected with hockey moms, dads, players, first responders, and survivors. Many purchased a 43° Hockey Bag after experiencing the benefits firsthand. From the booth to the ice, it was clear: people are ready for clean, dry, odor-free gear, and we're proud to be leading the charge.
We'll be sharing photos and videos from the event, including new members of Team43 proudly holding their bags and walking the halls of the Edge Ice Arena. Stay tuned for more stories and smiles from Dawg Bowl XV.
Together, We Make Hockey Better
Thank you to Dawg Nation for welcoming us into this unforgettable event. We are beyond proud to support your mission and to be part of a community that leads with heart.
